Our Lagoonarium is a highlight for many guests. A protected ocean habitat for local marine life, it is home to more than 200 species of sea creatures.

Around lunch time, don’t miss our Beach Boys’ various demonstrations, covering everything from how to prepare traditional Polynesian dishes to weaving hats and crowns from coconut fronds. For something more active, we have tennis courts and a fitness centre, not to mention the full array of water sports.

Water Sports

Enjoy a wide range of water activities at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa. We’ve got kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for complimentary use. We also provide snorkelling equipment at our Fare Nautique kiosk, so you can go off on your own adventure across the lagoon.

The Lagoonarium

The on-site Lagoonarium is a protected habitat and coral nursery that is home to a wonderful array of sea creatures. Specially designed to favor coral growth using colder ocean water drawn from deeper ocean levels and circulated through the lagoon, this nutrient-rich environment fosters coral regeneration and encourages a broad diversity of fish species, who feed and shelter among the coral. Marine biologists visit weekly to look after the Lagoonarium and the coral nursery, and resort guests are invited to visit the Lagoonarium to learn more about tropical sea life conservation.

Sands Restaurant

Located on our pristine private beach with an open-air pavilion and beachfront seating, Sands offers casual dining with breathtaking views of Mt. Otemanu and the beautiful blue hues of the lagoon. Enjoy a delicious cocktail by one of our mixologists while watching the sunset or dine under the stars in the glow of lit torches.
